Hello from sunny California. I am currently sitting in the ER waiting to get a reoccurring cyst on my tailbone looked at. I know, gross right? The last time I had one was right before NAYRC two years ago, and it seems as though I have a knack for getting them when I am in California.

I have to apologize for the lack of writing on my fine blog here! Things have been busy, busy at True Prospect as the competition for this summer has been in full swing, and I've had quite a number of rides going!

Surefire Horse Trials and Maryland Horse Trials 1 went quite well. With seven horses at Surefire and eight this weekend at Maryland I've had my hands full, which has been great.

All the horses have gone quite well with a few ups and downs, but for the most part they’ve put in solid performances.

This past week at True Prospect Farm has been a good one. Emma was getting ready to head down to Florida with Truluck and Woodburn to dressage land for the next month, while the rest of us competed the up-and-coming horses at the Plantation Horse Trials.

This past weekend was quite a busy one for me and for everyone at True Prospect Farm. I rode seven at the Waredaca Horse Trials in Maryland, which kept me busy, but it was quite a good weekend for me.

On Saturday, Walkabout competed in his second intermediate horse trials. He posted a 31 in the dressage, which I was quite happy with, and ended up coming in sixth out of 24 horses in the division.

I’m currently laying in the back of my truck with Emma’s dog Charlie and Bizzie on our way down to compete at Chattahoochee Hills. (Emma Ford is Phillip Dutton’s groom.) I am quite excited because Walkabout will be making his intermediate debut! Roosevelt will also be competing in the training level championships for Area III. With eight horses in the trailer, it's going to be a fun trip, that's for sure.

It was quite the weekend at the 2010 Jersey Fresh spring three-day for me as well as everyone at True Prospect Farm. I have to say it was one of my best goes at that event. I am so incredibly thrilled with Cambalda and also for everyone in our barn. In addition to winning the CCI**, “Ping” won best conditioned, and his owner, Nina Gardner, took home the owner’s award.

Getting ready for Jersey Fresh has been keeping everyone at the farm quite busy. We were all really excited about how well Rolex went for everyone at True Prospect Farm. Though I am sad that we didn’t make the trek to England, I was really happy to see Woodburn do so well at Kentucky. It was also awesome to see The Foreman back in action and showing his stuff on the big stage. 

Well as Rolex heats up and gets cranking I'm excited to say that I've got a new sponsor in the mix.

Ronald Zabala-Goetschel and Wise Equestrian have signed me on as one of their sponsored riders, and they are going to be supplying me with these amazingly beautiful boots that are made in Argentina. Not only did I get to help design my own pair, but a small part of the profits of every pair I designed that sells will go to helping me in my eventing career. Needless to say, I am really excited about that!

Well the past two weeks have been quite busy, as things usually are at True Prospect Farm. Since getting back from Aiken, we've traveled to Plantation Field and Fair Hill.
 
I had four horses running at Plantation Field and had the pleasure of riding Jan Bynny's horse, Walstraed, in the preliminary. I was quite excited to have the oppurtunity to ride this talented grey Dutch horse and was really happy with the outcome of the weekend. Unfortunately Jan has to sell Walstraed as she isn't quite working in full force yet.

Can you believe another Aiken has come and gone? We are already back up North getting ready to tackle some big spring three-days. I am certainly happy to be back home and am looking forward to the upcoming months here at True Prospect Farm.

First off, The Fork was a great event this weekend, and we were blessed to have some amazing weather to work with for once. Cambalda ran his first intermediate back and was amazing.
